Other Tests

Tests for glycated haemoglobin are not the only application of Quotient’s technology. The twin channel optical configuration and high sensitivity of the system can be applied to a range of other important bio-markers, especially those which concern diabetes. Feasibility studies have yielded up a range of possible candidates, adopting approved third-party assays, testing for example liver and kidney function (20-30% of diabetics also suffer from kidney disease). This work is part of our current R&D programme.
