Quotient has been funded by a syndicate of investors, many of whom have invested in the company from the outset in 2003. The company now has a broad investor base of 53 different parties. They include Venture funds, business angels and a trade partner, BBI plc. In June 2009 the company concluded its latest investment round with this syndicate, joined by two continental investor groups: Succès Europe, a Nice-based French fund, and Italian Angels for Growth, a club of private investors centred on Milan.

In recognition of the achievement of this complex cross-border deal, Quotient won the Deal of the Year 2009, awarded by the British Business Angels Association.

The company is rapidly developing an international presence with sales in Europe and Africa and Asia.
