Julian Baines - CEO EKF Diagnostics Holdings Plc

Julian was previously CEO of BBI (British Biocell International), Quotient’s largest shareholder. Cardiff-based BBI develops and produces a range of assays and reagents for diagnostics markets. Julian has considerable expertise in sales and quality assurance. He oversaw the growth of BBI and steered it to flotation on AIM in 2006, after which it was purchased in 2008 by the US healthcare group IMI Inc (now known as 'Alere').

Dr Brian Hickey - Chief Executive

Brian joined Quotient in January 2011 to continue the expansion of Quotient Diagnostics under the ownership of EKF Diagnostic Holdings Plc. Brian has extensive experience in the In Vitro Diagnostics industry having worked with many companies in the field.

 

Dr Phillip Vessey - Operations / Technical Director

Phil gained his PhD in Spectroscopy at Imperial College London. He has 20 years experience of taking scientific instrumentation from concept, through development, production engineering, pre-production and then into manufacture. Before Quotient, he was Technical Director of Chelsea Instruments, responsible for development for companies such as Unilever, Amersham, Kodak, Unipath, Drew Scientific and Malvern Instruments.

Quotient Diagnostics was founded in 2002 and is run by a team who combine expertise in biochemistry and instrumentation technology with substantial business acumen.
